Andy Harvey has leadership experience in both military and law enforcement careers. Andy has trained leaders around the country in leadership, community relations, and media relations. Andy has led in crises overseas during Operation Iraqi Freedom and in New Orleans just days after the destruction of Hurricane Katrina. He earned his Master of Science degree in Criminal Justice from the University of North Texas and has attended several police executive leadership programs including the Leadership Command College in Texas. Andy also served as a First Sergeant over the 136th Mission Support Group at Carswell Naval Air Station before retiring in 2008. Andy currently serves as the Chief of Police in Palestine, Texas.

This is an annual purchase for me. I still haven't been able to use the internet once I land in any city on the planet to determine what is good when/where. I've also said this before - the cost remains under 2 drinks in any global major city. For those which say "we have happy hour" - sure you do, with cheap vodka/rum, etc. But the costs will still run you close to the purchase price for any drink you actually want. Apps can only take you so far....Just buy it, you'll no longer have to wonder were to go across the globe.

The book is done in several languages that is a good selling point for the publisher but reduces the amount of useful information available in the book. I wouldn't recommend buying this guide. You can get more information on line for free.

I got this book for myself to help me figure out what to do now that I'm "out," as well as to help me assist my peers in their respective coming out processes. It provides teens with a variety of options and suggestions on a plethora of topics, rather than trying to point teens in a specific direction. I feel that the book also helps give the reader a broader perspective on sexuality and relationships. The personal examples from the authors truly make the book come to life. They show the reader that everybody is human, and we all go through some tough times, but with the right attitude, and a proper approach, people will pull through.Sorry for getting a little philosophical there, I just wanted to share some of what makes this book so great. I have bought a couple of copies to give to friends who are going through a process of self-discovery. I would highly recommend this book to any teen, or the parent of any teen who is questioning their sexuality, or is out and not sure where to go from there.

I really like this book to use with teenagers who are questioning their sexual identity. It's written in language that is very teen friendly and non-threatening. Addresses a lot of questions that my clients had. Recommend! My clients liked it so much they went to check it out at the local library after reading my copy.

Bought this because my daughter requested it. She’s 14 and recently told us she is Bi-sexual. She wanted something to help her along her journey and said this book did just that. So thank you for writing something kids can turn to when they don’t want the advice of adults.

My preteen who is going through her coming out phase has really benefited from this book. It sits on her nightstand every night and has been immensely helpful in making her feel not alone, not weird, and understood. Highly recommend.

The 206-page book does a masterful job in normalizing what has too often been perceived as deviant, pathological, immoral, even inferior sexual orientation. It is co-authored by a gay male and a lesbian who, throughout its development, consulted an eager, five-member group of gay teenagers. Its educational approach is appropriate not only for teens, but for anyone, teen and adult, male and female, gay and straight, closeted and out, and is refreshingly objective, fact-filled, and plain-spoken. Humorous line drawings are sprinkled throughout, and shaded squares appear periodically to give short summaries of each chapter's salient points, such as "Breakup Dos and Don'ts", "Dating Someone Much Older", "Is It a Date?", "Stepping Outside the Pink Triangle", and "Yep. I'm Gay.".
