Can I give it zero stars? This PA map is completely worthless. It’s advertised as “Detailed maps for back roads” yet has next to no back roads showed on the map. I live on a back road that has been in place for over 30 years, and has two huge ponds. Neither the road nor the ponds were even remotely shown on the map. I check 4 different people I know that live on various back roads around PA, and not one of the roads were shown on this sad excuse for a map. I have seen maps from the late 1980’s with more up-to-date info then this. I have not been this disappointed in a product in a very long time. If you need a map that only shows you the main roads this map will work fine, however if you would like to use it for its advertised purpose of navigating back roads, run far away before you get lost somewhere.

We bought this map to go to Delaware Water Gap Pa. this week. I agree with other reviewers if your looking for back roads to explore this map is very limited. Our phone GPS showed many more roads. Also the road names on the map did not match some of the street names according to the road signs. It was very confusing. Very disappointed because we plan to go to several PA state forests but I have to assume this map will be that limited again.

If you like exploring back roads, these books are an absolute must. I've bought one for every state I've lived in. Google maps and GPS are great resources and I use them both, but I keep coming back to this when I need to survey large areas quickly and pick routes. This is a great tool for planning my motorcycle trips. No computer can compete with the data throughput of flipping through a book of maps.If I had one suggestion, it would be to identify which roads are dirt (or gravel) and which roads are paved.

I use my Michigan Recreational Atlas constantly - as a record of places I photograph and for potential photo ops.As I'm leaving for PA next month to photograph the Elk herds, it seemed like a good idea to get the PA version. However, because it's high on topography, it's quite difficult to read road names and to see access info. It still is a major improvement over State fold-up maps. Not as good as a Recreational Atlas version, but still worth the $$. Delorme remains my Atlas of choice.Be forewarned, though - it may not be a fast delivery (allow plenty of time for trip starts.) The anticipated date was Sept 26 to October 5th (my trip starts on Oct 7th, so that made me nervous.) However, it was a happy day when Amazon sent me an email saying they were able to get it earlier than expected and were shipping immediately. It came on Saturday, Sept 23rd, giving me plenty of time to study the maps and mark them for day-tripping.

This is pretty huge. It provides excellent detail on the maps, and easy to use key and a pretty thorough index. Maps are well detailed and easy to read, and each map tells you what the adjoining sections are and provides some overlap for ease in crossing panels. Because of the size, it would be a bit unwieldy behind the wheel, but you should be stopped anyway if you're looking that closely. You can get a general layout of the streets of a town with this, but you won't get the street names. It does however contain a surprising amount of backroads, even in places where maps are sometimes difficult to find (Potter County). Definitely a great book for navigating the backroads.

old school but well detailed. My NAV system is rigid and inflexible and makes it hard to plan the best routes. These map books are very detailed at a scale that really helps when out on the road. They aren't as good for navigating through towns, but perfect for exploring the country side. too bad they are discontinued, but you can still find them on the secondary market.

We bought this for a vacation trip and found we used it some, mostly as a back up to our GPS and online maps. But there's something "wrong" with the way these maps have been printed. They are not visually pleasing and are, in fact, hard to read--not up to the usual DeLorme standard--or my eyes are getting bad--or both. A magnifying glass might help, but I'm not sure it's just size of print. I think it's fonts, colors, etc. In the area we used (basically only one county) we found the maps accurate and complete and they did occasionally prove useful because of the level of detail.

Indispensable for easily planning routes on back roads if you're trying to get to various counties or say you visited a place on every DeLorme page, a la geocaching.

I am giving this book the same review as it's more current version, 101 More Favorite Play Therapy Techniques. There are a lot of really good, creative ideas in this first version, just as there are in the newer version. However, the one thing that is lacking in both books is a quick statement at the begining of each activity that identifies what age group and what general problem the activity is most appropriate for. Such information allows me to decide, right away, whether to invest the time in reading further about the activity if I think it would be relavent to a particular child I am working with.

I have used this material over and over again. So many activities, so many great ideas and so easy to use! I passed my first copy on to a friend who was in need of guidance in the basics of the TENDER, SWEET, and INTENSE take on love making (there are many variations). Others have been paying attention and have been lucky enough to have learned bits here-and-there since a young age, but could still use some clarification on various details. They too should read it. PERSONALLY, I appreciated the positive reinforcement of all which I was pretty sure I knew, and I happened to learn at least one new very useful detail which had eluded me. Feel free to contact me directly for more detail. This is the first of, perhaps, 5 books which I would suggest reading on your path towards DAMNED GOOD SEX and SWEET, SWEET, LOVING. Others would include isbn: 1-56924-382-4. and perhaps (having not read it yet) isbn: 0-7679-1656-5.

A bit smaller edition than the original, otherwise the iconic volume with updated revisions as legend remembers! Great retro illustrations and detailed explanations.

Not much change from 20-30 years ago.

Not a dry scientific tome but sex for lovers done right. Can't begin to describe what makes this book so different from others on the subject but a must have. Replacing my original copy from the early 70's, glad to have the real version not the later editions ruined by photos. The line drawings published originally are a lot of the charm of this book. One of the reviews made mention of 'obsession with hair' . . . well when this was compiled it was the flower power era and people didn't wax themselves naked.

Not near as good as the original. Doesn't have the charm and wit that made the Joy of Sex so memorable.
